Dictate a technical prompt

1. Focus the editor, terminal, or chat window.
2. Start recording with your configured hotkey.
3. Speak the request naturally, including file names and technical terms.
4. Stop recording and review the inserted text before sending it.

Improve technical vocabulary

1. Record a phrase containing the term Wispr got wrong.
2. Open the transcript history and choose Add word correction.
3. Enter the heard spelling and the desired spelling.
4. Repeat a short test phrase and keep the correction only if it improves the result.

Use Wispr with an elevated application

If text does not appear in an administrator terminal or another elevated app, close Wispr and relaunch it with the same privilege level. This is an operating system input-injection rule, not a transcription failure.

Keep private text private

Delete sensitive history entries when they are no longer needed. Before exporting CSV or sending a support screenshot, remove customer data, tokens, private URLs, and source code.
